Create Seamless Textures in ComfyUI with WAS Node Suite

Notes

A seamless or tileable texture can repeat horizontally and vertically without an obvious join between adjacent tiles. This note shows how to make one from an image in ComfyUI.

Install WAS Node Suite

Install WAS Node Suite. The current project README recommends installing it through ComfyUI Manager: search for WAS Node Suite v3, install it, and restart ComfyUI. The README currently lists ComfyUI 0.14.0+ and Python 3.10+; check it for the latest requirements and manual installation steps.

The old “Procedural Rock Seamless Texture Generator” workflow linked by this post is no longer part of the current project instructions. The current Image Seamless Texture node processes an image rather than generating a texture from scratch. Start with an image loaded or generated by your own ComfyUI workflow, then connect its IMAGE output to the node’s images input.

Make and check the tile

Add WAS Suite → Image → Process → Image Seamless Texture and try these settings:

  • blending controls how wide the cross-fade between opposite edges is. The default is 0.4; 0 leaves the image unchanged, and 0.5 is the maximum.
  • Turn tiled on to preview the repeated result. Set tiles to 2 for a 2-by-2 preview grid and inspect the joins.
  • Adjust blending until the joins look acceptable. When you want to pass along or save one tile, turn tiled off.

The node blends opposite edges, so the resulting tile is smaller than the source image. The best blending value depends on the texture. See the current WAS Node Suite node reference for the full input and output details.
